With all TD slots now filled throughout the country, Michael Lowry TD has convened a group earlier this week to sign up to the formation of a new 'Regional Group'.
The eight TDs that held their first meeting yesterday, include Michael Lowry, Sean Canney (Galway East), Marian Harkin (Sligo–Leitrim), Barry Heneghan (Dublin Bay North), Noel Grealish (Galway West), Kevin ('Boxer') Moran (Longford–Westmeath), Verona Murphy (Wexford ) and Gillian Toole (Meath East).
The regional group is set to discuss Government formation with Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael, the two Government parties alone only comprise of 86 seats altogether and they need 88 to form a Government so the new regional group could be the answer they're looking for in forming the Government.
