Players to watch in this year's club hurling championship who could make Tipp step up

3. Danny Slattery (Clonoulty Rossmore)

Hardly a left-field selection to keep an eye on, given his exploits with the Tipperary U20s earlier this year, but Slattery is a player who looks ready to make the step up straight away.

A player with real potential, he stood out at corner-back for Brendan Cummins this year, but has operated in the forwards for Clonoulty Rossmore since becoming eligible for senior hurling.

His versatility in this regard would be welcomed, and coupled with his searing pace, hurling ability, and strength, would make waves in the senior panel if given the chance. A real prospect.
