Ms Hayes added: “The Emeralds are of key importance to our community social and cultural structures. In many respects they provide the backbone of the community. The UTT is delighted to partner with the Emeralds GAA club on this event.”

The range of sponsors shows the support and belief in both of these groups and what they are trying to achieve. Emeralds and UTT are hugely appreciative of the generous support. They thanked the almost 40 teams participating, sponsors and backroom team as well as the Urlingford diaspora from as far away as the US, who sponsored the cause. “We reached out to everyone, no matter where they were, with DNA type:Urlingford.”
