Tipperary County Council examining major planning applications for housing in these towns
Tipperary County Council has received a planning application along with further information and revised plans for a total of 262 housing units for Nenagh and Thurles.
The largest development, consisting of 176 units, is earmarked for Nenagh.
Dromin Property Development Ltd has submitted further information and revised plans under three different planning notices for a site at Drom Road, Nenagh.
The largest of the planning units consist of 98 resident units, comprising a total of 12 four-bed, two-story semi-detached houses; 74 three-bed two-storey detached houses; four two-bed semi-detached houses; six two-bed one-storey mid-terrace houses and two two-bed one-storey end-of terrace houses.
Further information has also been submitted for 67 resident units to include 38 four-bed two-storey semi-detached houses; two three-bed two-storey semi-detached houses; 24 three-bed two-storey semi-detached houses; two two-bed one-storey houses.
The third application where further information and revised plans have been submitted is for 51 units, comprising two two-storey detached apartment blocks, each with two one and two-bed apartments on ground floor, and two one and two-bed apartments on the first floor.
The total number of units in both blockers is 16. The application also includes 11 three-bed two story end-of-terrace houses; 21 two-be two storey mid-terrace houses and three three-bed two-storey end-of-terrace houses.
Under this section, permission is also being sought for the demolition of three unfinished two-storey dwellings, as well as three foundations and bases for three two-storey dwellings.
Permission is also being sought for all associated site works to include a new vehicular road and pedestrian access from the existing access on Dromin Road; new vehicular roads and pedestrian accesses from the the extended access road; new boundary treatments; landscaping; public lighting; car parking; all associated drainage works to include surface water drainage to existing water courses on the existing western boundary; proposed connection to existing foul sewer within the site; water supply connection from existing water supply within the site.
Meanwhile, Sinead Maher has applied to the Council for permission to build 86 residential units at Hayfield Manor, Bohernamona, Thurles.
The units consist of five detached houses; 60 semi detached houses and 21 terraced houses.
The application also includes permission for a creche and pumping station, the decommissioning of an existing wastewater treatment plant and the removal of a derelict structure.
