2. Paul Maher (Thurles Sarsfields)
Maher was tasked with picking up the every dangerous John McGrath and he made a very good fist of it last Saturday night.
McGrath didn't score from play which is a highly rare occurrence indeed, as Maher was like glue to the Tipperary forward all night. A fair operator is Maher and there aren't many corner backs as good as him at club level in the county.
