Motion 4. Upperchurch GAA – Motions
The above club wishes to submit the following motion(s) for the running of Tipperary GAA County Adult Leagues/Championships in 2024.
1. We propose that Tipperary GAA implement a games program using the following age grade structure for both hurling and football:- Under 21, Under 18, Under 16, Under 14 and Under 12. Go Games and Blitzes to be played at age grades below Under 12.
2. A team that wins the Divisional Hurling Title and finishes 2nd in their county hurling championship group, is exempt from the county ¼ final preliminary round draw. The Divisional Championship win and a 2nd place finish in the group put them straight into the county championship ¼ final draw.
3. If a team wins their division but finishes in 4th place in their county hurling championship group, the 4th place finish will not entitle them to a preliminary quarter-final. Only a 3rd place finish in the county championship will entitle a team to a preliminary county quarter-final.
