Declan Burgess has been appointed Cathaoirleach for the Tipperary County Council.
The Fine Gael councillor, who was elected following the first count in the Cashel-Tipperary LEA, will take up the role for the new County Council.
28 year-old Cllr Burgess was first elected to the council in 2019.
Fianna Fáil's Imelda Goldsboro, meanwhile, has been appointed Leas Cathaoirleach.
