Local Tipperary town urging people to donate with Christmas shoeboxes

File photo

Team Hope is asking for people to come forward and donate Christmas shoeboxes as part of their annual shoebox appeal.

This is a Team Hope project whereby shoeboxes are filled with gifts which are then delivered straight into the hands of children affected by poverty in Eastern Europe or Africa for Christmas.

Items suitable for the boxes include writing material, pencils, crayons, small toys, small items of clothing, toothpaste and toothbrushes, soap etc.

A sum of €5 is required for each box which covers transportation, distribution, etc.

If anyone is interested in contributing towards this project please contact Kay Browne 087 918 5705 or Heather Evans 086 825 3206.

Further details are available at www.teamhope.ie.
