Students, local residents and tidy towns will plant 4,000 trees in Tipperary tomorrow

100 Million Trees Initiative to plant a Tiny Urban Forest in Thurles town will take place tomorrow.

An initiative by a Not-for-Profit organisation to plant 100 Million Trees will begin in Tipperary tomorrow.

Students and locals attending the event will have the chance to plant a 'Tiny Urban Forest' in Thurles town tomorrow, 21st March 2025 at 10.30am.

The planting will be carried out on a piece of council owned land on the Mill Road, Thurles. E41NP02

It is expected that planting will begin at 10.30am and conclude at lunchtime.

The 100 Million Trees Project team will be recording the event for their website and will be speaking to some of those present to get their views on the initiative.

Along with students from local schools, local residents association and the Tidy Towns have been asked to volunteer on the day with the planting of over 4000 tree’s.
