Gardaí are investigating all circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man found unresponsive on a street in Carrick-on-Suir, county Tipperary, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Gardaí attended the scene in the town centre at around 2.30am, where the man was found lying on the footpath. It is understood he may have fallen from a window of a town-centre premises.
The man was taken to Waterford University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí have confirmed the scene remains preserved for technical examination, and investigations are ongoing.
