A community fundraising event in Borrisokane will take place in memory of Breda O’Shea.
The event, known as ‘Run for Breda,’ is being organised by the O’Shea family and will take place on Monday, April 6th, in Borrisokane Town Park, with a 2pm start.

Participants are invited to walk, jog, run or stroll a 5km route, with the event open to people of all ages and abilities.
All funds raised will go to Milford Care Centre, the Limerick-based hospice whose services supported Breda and her family.

Donations are being collected through an online fundraising page on iDonate.ie, with organisers encouraging people to give whatever they can.
Local TD Michael Lowry, who shared details of the event on social media, described ‘Run for Breda’ as an opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate Breda’s life while supporting Milford’s work.
He also confirmed that members of Tipperary’s All-Ireland winning hurling team will attend on the day, with the Liam McCarthy Cup present.
According to the organisers, the event is both a memorial and a fundraiser. In a message on the Run for Breda Facebook page, the O’Shea family paid tribute to the “care, compassion, love and attention” shown by Milford staff, saying the support they received left a lasting impression.
Further information, including donation details, is available via the ‘Run for Breda’ fundraising page online which can be accessed through the following link
