The manager of the Tipperary hurling team, Michael Ryan will be among the guest speakers at the final IFA North Tipperary executive meeting of the year on Wednesday, December 14, in Nenagh.
As well as managing the All-Ireland winning team and running his family farm in Upperchurch, Michael is regional agri-manager with Bank of Ireland.
He will discuss farm finance information, credit option available to farmers and will offer advice on dealing with banks.
Newly appointed Agri Aware executive director Deirdre O’Shea will discuss efforts to promote Irish agriculture and the importance of CAP to ensure the supply of quality food.
Agri Aware's main objective is to educate the general public about Irish agriculture and the wider agri food industry.
Agri Aware run a number of initiatives in primary and secondary schools with the aim of educating the next generation about the link between food produce and its origin. Incredible Edibles, Dig In! and Farm Walk and Talk are among the initiatives currently being rolled out in primary and secondary schools nationwide.
The Family Farm in Dublin Zoo is also an integral part of Agri Awares work and is an ideal platform for educating the general public in an interactive way, about Irish agriculture and the agri food industry.
The meeting will take place in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, at 8.30pm.
