Tipperary weather warning- Status Yellow wind and rain alerts for the county

Wind and rain alerts for Tipperary today.

 

Met Eireann has issued wind AND rain warnings for Tipperary.

The Status Yellow wind alert for Tipperary, Cork, Waterford and Leinster warns that southeast winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h with gusts between 90 and 100km/h.

Winds strongest along southern areas at first but gradually extending to all parts of Leinster by late morning and afternoon.

The rainfall alert for Tipperary, Limerick, Kerry and Cork warns of periods of heavy rain  on Wednesday that will lead to accumulations of 40 to 50mm generally, with some larger amounts on higher ground. Some localised flooding expected.
