Annual Candlelight Memorial Service in west Tipperary village on Sunday next

Our Annual Commemorative Service take place on Sunday, November 27 at 3 pm.
For all whose deaths were recorded in the Parish Bulletin during the past 12 month Their loved ones are invited to attend.
We will also remember and pray for any and all parishioners who died at any time across the years.

Canon Power Ledger List of donors and donations to a fundraising in June 1881, including money from Emly-born emigrants in America.
Some family names are no longer with us.

Meeting with parish priests of the area
Our Pastoral Combination Area representatives of the Pastoral teams in the four parishes that comprise our area met with the parish priests last Thursday night to begin discussions about future arrangements.
More meetings will be held in the coming weeks. Similar meetings are being held in each of the 11 combinations planned for in the diocese.
Our Area: Emly, Lattin/Cullen, Pallasgreen/ Templebraden, Kilteely/ Dromkeen.

Prisoner Sunday
This weekend prisoners are remembered in the Catholic Church worldwide on the second Sunday of November every year.
Also, their families, victims of crime and prison staffs. Across the world, countless thousands are unjustly imprisoned for their religious beliefs.

Parish Fundraiser
Lotto Jackpot not won. The numbers drawn were 1, 8, 18, 21.

Next week’s jackpot: €1,775.
The Lotto Christmas Draws will offer members the chance to win in two extra draws: the first for excellent prizes on offer to parish lottoes throughout the country; the second for vouchers with local businesses in Emly.

‘Thank You’
We express a sincere thank you to all who baked for, donated prizes or supported the Cake Sale and Coffee Morning in aid of the Homeless, last Sunday.
A very sizable sum raised. Another ‘Thank You’.
Many parishioners attended the recent Charity Concert held in the Marian Hall, Tipperary Town, with €3,500 raised.
Half of the proceeds was given to the O’Brien Family, Bartoose, for onward donation to Milford Hospice (in recognition of its care of the late Nora O’Brien).
The other half (€1,750) of the proceeds went to St. Vincent’s Day Care Centre – well known to Emly people.

Clothes Collection
Monday, December 5 at St. Ailbe’s N.S. Good and clean goods.

Annual Christmas Shoebox Appeal
We appeal for things to write with, to wash with, to wear, to give fun and joy to children.
Full details available at St. Ailbe’s National School.

Christmas Market
Galbally Community Centre, Saturday, November 26 from 4 to 7 pm in aid of Galbally National School Parents Association.

Emly Historical Society
A public lecture on ‘Tipperary Cumann na mBan’, given by Dr. Noreen Higgins : on Friday, November 28 in St. Ailbe’s Hall, at 8 pm. All are welcome.
