Joe Whelan brings his Story Slam collective to Clonmel
This Friday evening there will be a chance for local talent to shine as part of the inaugural Suirfest 2023 music festival.
As part of the weekend programme Joe Whelan will present his Story Slam show in Moynihans at 9pm
It features a unique local Story Slam collective, which is specially commissioned for SuirFest. This show has been put together by local builder, sheep farmer, storyteller and poet Joe Whelan.
The format of the Story Slam is to get eight local storytellers to each tell a true story against the clock . It was last performed for Clonmel World Music in 2019, to a sold-out audience.
