Rosegreen 1-13(16)
John O’Shea at Annacarty
Éire Óg Annacarty Donohill got their quest for Tipperary Co Op West Junior B Hurling silver ware off to a winning start, when overcoming Rosegreen at Annacarty on Thursday evening.
With Ronan O’Brien in outstanding form, the home side led at the break, 0-11 to 0-7.
After the break, Eire Og continued to dictate proceedings, with O’Brien pulling the strings both from play and frees.
When JP Anglim goaled for the visitors twelve minutes after the restart, the deficit was down to the minimum, but Eire Og upped their game and the sending off of Sean Ryan for his second yellow card, eight minutes from time didn’t help their cause.
Eire Og eventually ran out six-point victors, with Ronan O’Brien, hitting thirteen points, including six from open play.
