Junior A
Brian Borus continued their winning ways in the Junior A championship with a 3-15 to 2-05 win over Templemore. Last year's beaten finalists are currently sitting on top of the group 1 table with three wins from three and one game remaining against Lorrha this weekend.
Lorrha were in flying form away to Drom-Inch on Saturday evening with Clodagh McIntyre rampant in midfield. Four goals from Clodagh, Elaine Hogan, and Celine Cleary secured a 4-16 to 1-9 victory. In group 2, two goals separated St Rita’s Fethard and Ballina with Fethard coming out on top 2-10 to 0-10 against a Ballina side who have lost all their three games in a very tough group which includes Holycross Ballycahill and Moycarkey Borris.
Junior B
Group 1 of the Junior B saw wins for St Cronan’s Roscrea and Carrick Swans. St Cronan’s recorded their second win of the championship with an impressive team performance over Ballingarry that yielded five goals. Final score St Cronan’s Roscrea 5-16 Ballingarry 1-7.
Carrick Swans were narrow two-point winners over Clonoulty Rossmore securing victory on a final scoreline of 3-7 to 2-8. In group 2 Moyle Rovers had a successful trip up to Dolla coming away with a 2-13 to 2-3 win.
Junior B2
There was one game in the Junior B2 championship with Eire Og Annacarty proving too strong for Borris-Ileigh winning 3-18 to 2-6.
This concludes the group stages of the Junior B2 competition where table toppers Holycross Ballycahill and Annacarty have progressed straight to a semi-final. The quarter-final pairings are Toomevara versus Borris-Ileigh and Shannon Rovers versus Burgess Duharra.
Junior C
Ballybacon Grange had a great win over Rockwell Rovers on Saturday evening in New Inn to book their place in this year's Junior C final.
The league champions showed great teamwork throughout to secure a 3-16 to 1-6 win in the blistering evening heat. Rockwell Rovers will now take on Slieve Felim this Saturday in the semi-final to see who will meet Ballybacon Grange in the final the following weekend.
