17. Cathal Barrett

What a presence Barrett is to the team. He slotted back in seamlessly and considering he hasn’t played a game of this level in so long, it is a testament to his ability.
His knack for disrupting the forwards under his charge is something that can’t be replaced as he gave Jack Prendergast a torrid evening, and he was perhaps a victim of poor refereeing at times when he took a tough hit off Mikey Kiely in the first half but still bounced back well.
The defence looks so much better with Barrett in it - he radiates confidence to his teammates, and he is a cog this Tipperary wheel cannot do without.
