The rush for tickets for the highly anticipated clash between Tipperary and Offaly in Saturday's U20 All-Ireland Hurling Championship Final has crashed the ticket provider Ticketmaster.
Tickets went on sale shortly before 3 pm earlier this afternoon, and in less than ten minutes, the website crashed with the number of people trying to access tickets causing the system to shut down.
Set to be played in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday evening next at 7.15 pm, this game was expected to be a sell-out with clubs of the participating counties given a small allocation, while the majority of the tickets for the 27,000 capacity Kilkenny venue were being sold to the general public.
As of now tickets are still available, but the system has yet to go back online which will cause frustration for fans eager to see a rematch between the players who contested the epic 2022 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Final in the same venue, which ended in a last gasp win for Tipperary thanks to a Paddy McCormack goal.
