PREVIEW: Premier Intermediate fare has outcomes up in the air ahead of round 3 weekend

The Premier Intermediate Championship reaches the end of the group stages this weekend

PREVIEW:

Group 2

Cashel King Cormacs V Éire Óg Annacarty

The trilogy match is incoming in the West derby after the sides played two incredible divisional matches last month. It took extra time for Cashel to shake off Éire Óg in the divisional final and with so little between the teams in those games, it is hard to see it being anything other than a one score game again this time around.

Every point could prove crucial here as a Cashel win - coupled with a likely Gortnahoe win - puts three teams on equal points for qualification which will only add to the spectacle if it is tight going down the home straight.

Cashel have the luxury of having a backdoor into the county stages by virtue of their West title win, while a draw would see Éire Óg safely into the last eight

Verdict: Draw

Gortnahoe Glengoole V Moyne Templetuohy

Gortnahoe will be hoping that there will be little drama and a good performance heading into this game against bottom-of-the-pile Moyne Templetuohy.

Ronan Teehan’s return has been a big plus for them and with the scoring differential against Moyne set to count for nothing if Cashel wins their game, they will be concentrating on getting the result they need.

Moyne can still qualify if results take an unlikely route but they have struggled to keep scores out which could prove to be their undoing here again.

Verdict: Gortnahoe Glengoole
