If you had offered Doyle the carrot of keeping Tony Kelly scoreless from play before the throw-in, he would have taken your hand off.
It just highlights how big an impact the Clonoulty Rossmore man has made in his debut year, that he was given the task of man-marking the former Hurler of the Year.
He was on a yellow card early but managed to keep his discipline for the remainder.
