Liam Cahill's charges will go into the preliminary quarter-final as hot favourites against a Laois side who will be licking their wounds after losing out to Kildare in last Sunday's Joe McDonagh Cup final.
Dublin whistler Chris Mooney will be the man in the middle for this game. Mooney is an experienced ref, and he took charge of Tipperary's league clash with Limerick earlier this year.
The game throws in at 1.45pm on Saturday in Laois Hire O'Moore Park, Portlaoise.
