Ballynonty
There’s a buzz in the air as Ballynonty prepares to host a fun-filled weekend for all the family on Saturday and Sunday, August 9th & 10th. With something for everyone – from kids’ entertainment and live music to games, food, and a very special GAA guest – this is a weekend not to be missed.
Festivities kick off on Saturday evening with a Kids Disco at 6pm – just €3 per child, which includes refreshments to keep their energy up for a great evening of dancing and fun. Then from 8pm, the field comes alive with live music from the brilliant ‘Folk That’, who will be performing on site. A BBQ will be sizzling away during the gig, and tickets are just €5 – available to purchase on the night. There’ll also be a raffle taking place with a hamper and a range of great prizes up for grabs.
On Sunday, it’s all about the Family Fun Day, starting from 2pm and packed with entertainment for all ages. The afternoon begins with a colourful Fancy Dress Parade, followed by a Kids’ Obstacle Race at 2.30pm, and a Dog Show at 3pm where all furry friends are welcome. Later in the day, get your numbers ready for a round of Bingo at 4pm.

Throughout the day, there’ll be plenty of stalls and activities dotted around the field, including face painting, tombola, flower and garden stalls, archery, and treats like candy floss and popcorn. Whether you’re coming for the games, the prizes, or just a relaxing day out with family and friends, there’ll be something to enjoy around every corner.
And now for some very exciting news – we are absolutely delighted to confirm that Liam Cahill, the successful Tipperary Manager, will be attending the Field Day on Sunday at 3pm, and he’ll be bringing along none other than the Liam MacCarthy Cup. What a moment that will be for the parish and for GAA fans young and old – a chance to see the All-Ireland trophy up close and to celebrate a great achievement for the Premier County.
So mark your calendars and spread the word – Ballynonty Festival promises a weekend of community, celebration, and good old-fashioned fun. All are welcome – we can’t wait to see you there!
