Borrisokane Men’s Shed has been named a National Finalist in the community category of the prestigious National Lottery Good Causes Awards 2025, recognizing their outstanding contribution to community development and men’s health.
Representatives Gerry Duggan and Seanie Egan recently attended the National Lottery Headquarters in Dublin to meet the judging panel and showcase the Shed’s impactful work.

The initiative has been celebrated locally for fostering social connections, promoting mental well-being, and providing a welcoming space for men across the region.
Adding to the excitement, broadcaster Joe Duffy and a camera crew visited the Shed to film a feature highlighting their work and community engagement for the awards coverage.
The final results will be announced at a gala event at Killashee House Hotel on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Local supporters and community members are rallying behind the Shed, celebrating their achievements and wishing them the best of luck in the national competition.
