Congratulations
Congratulations to Una Ryan, Sean Kelly and Thomas Hayes for taking part in this year’s FBD Young Farmer of The Year. Sean made it to the final 6 while Thomas was the winner of the ‘Other Category’. Well done to you all on a great achievement.
Bowling
On Wednesday 12th of September, we went bowling in Limerick. We had a huge turnout with lots of new faces. A great night was had by all and congratulations to Devil’s Bit Macra who were winners on the night.
Presentation
Last Friday night, 14th of September, Devil’s Bit Macra held a presentation to handover proceeds from their charity cycle to Embrace Farm, an organisation that helps families affected by death or serious injury caused by farms accidents. An outstanding €11,500 was presented on the night, the 3rd largest sum of money ever to be given to the charity. A fantastic achievement for all involved!
Lisdoonvarna
On Saturday 22nd of September, North Tipp Macra will be heading for Lisdoonvarna for a social night out. A bus will be returning on the same night. Should you have interested in attending, please contact the North Tipp Facebook page.
Farm Walk
On Tuesday 25th of September at 7.00pm, Sean Kelly will be hosting a farm walk on his home farm in Kilruane. Sean was a finalist in this year’s Young Farmer of the Year. His cows include Holstein Friesian and Jerseys, with cows last year producing 550 kgms. The main discussion topics will be grass management for the coming autumn and spring, as well as feeding for the winter. All welcome to attend. Eircode is E45 H292.
