6. John Meagher (Loughmore Castleiney)
Not only worth his place on this team, John Meagher put himself in the shake up for the player of the championship this year in Loughmore's historic run. His performances all year have been of an ultra high standard, but his displays in both the drawn game, and the replay were simply outstanding and if it this form could be transferred over into a blue and gold jersey, he could be a real asset at intercounty level.
