Newport Ballinahinch needed a goal in injury time to claim victory in this very evenly contested U14 B Plate Final in the County Camogie Grounds on Sunday.Moyle Rovers enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges and led at halftime 2points to no score.
Newport Ballinhainch got off the mark in the second half with a goal from Aoibhe Kelly and a pointed free by Lucy Lee.
Moyle Rovers had two points of their own to tie the game at 1-01 to 4 points with time running out.
And just when thoughts had turned to the possibility of extra time up stepped the excellent Aoibhe Kelly to fire home the winning goal and her second goal of the day.
After the match joint captains Eibhlin Bourke and Muirne Ryan accepted the Plate on behalf of their team to the delight of their supporters.
