FBD Insurance Senior Camogie Club Championship

Nenagh Éire Óg 1-12

Éire Óg Annacarty 1-12

Nenagh Éire Óg faced the challenge of Eire Og Annacarty at home on Saturday in the FBD Insurance Senior Championship.
It was a very close game with point for point by each team in the first half and Annacarty just ahead at the break 0-8 to 0-7.

The second half saw Annacarty pull away by 6 points but Nenagh fought back to level the game. A great individual tally from Grace O'Brien who scored 1-8 and points from Zoey Gratton, Kerrie Howard, Caroline Browne, and Michelle Collins showed the potential this young Nenagh team has.

For Annacarty it has been a difficult start to the championship with their displays in the opening two rounds way off the standard expected from a team with serious championship ambitions.

They are certainly feeling the loss of Gemma Fox, Sarah Burke and Siobhan O’Neill who are all currently sidelined through injury.

Their second half goal from Cora Heffernan while Eva O’Dwyer, Jean Kelly and Leah Heffernan all contributed to their points tally.
