FBD Insurance Senior Camogie Club Championship

Cashel King Cormacs 1-13

Burgess Duharra 1-12

A tight game throughout with never more than a few points in it at any time both sides exchanged early points to leave the half time score deadlocked at six points apiece. Jenny Grace had a fantastic game displaying super work rate and setting the pace.

Ciardha Maher had a very strong performance also while Caoimhe Maher finished with an impressive 1-04. The second half continued in a similar vein with the score nine points each after 13 minutes when Caoimhe Maher struck for a goal to put Burgess Duharra into a three point lead.

With 40 minutes on the clock the sides were level again 1-10 to 1-10 thanks to a Cashel goal. Two points in succession from Cashel gave them a two point advantage 1-13 to 1-11 with 2 minutes remaining in normal time. A Ciardha Maher point on the 33rd point reduced Cashel’s lead to 1 point but it wasn’t enough as Cashel held on for the victory.
