BROADCASTER and journalist Charlie Bird has shared a health update, saying that his condition has "changed dramatically".
The journalist, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2021, says that he is now in a wheelchair and has to be fed with a tube.
Despite his condition, he says he is grateful to see another Christmas.
Sharing the sad update on X, formerly known as Twitter, Charlie said: "This time last year I said I didn’t think I would see this Christmas. Thankfully I am still around and that is because of the support and kindness I have received from people all around the country."
He added: "Yes my health has changed dramatically. I am wheelchair dependent now and tube fed."
