State of the art bathroom facilities proposed for popular lakeside location in Tipperary

New changing places building at Dromineer

Tipperary County Council proposes to develop a Changing Places Bathroom at Dromineer. The development comprises the construction of a new single-storey building adjacent to a current project which will deliver WCs, Showers and Storage facilities.

The proposed location of the Changing Places Bathroom forms part of a corner site in Dromineer on which a Facility Centre for Water Sports Activity is to be constructed as part of Fáilte Ireland’s Platforms for Growth – A Prograame for Tourism Investment 2019 - 2025.

This purpose-built toilet facility gives people with disabilities and carers more space and the right equipment take care of personal hygiene, in safety and comfort.

The Changing Places toilet goes beyond a conventional wheelchair-accessible toilet in that it includes additional assistive technology of a hoist, height adjustable adult-sized changing bench, height adjustable basin and toilet.
