The happy pair moments after their 'engagement' at Phoenix Park
An engagement party organised in a Tipperary village pub after a viral video “proposal” at a Zach Bryan concert last weekend in Dublin was all part of an elaborate hoax, the Tipperary Star has learned.
A viral TikTok video with around 200,000 views showing a Tipperary man “proposing” to a woman on Sunday night in Phoenix Park turned out to be nothing more than a bit of harmless fun at the concert.

The TikTok user captured the moment on film thinking the proposal to be genuine adding: “Congrats to this couple! I hope this video finds you!”
The video found not only the man involved, but thousands of others.
A friend of the viral star called the Tipperary Star offices the morning after the concert to congratulate them and give details about a huge engagement bash at a local pub.
However it all turned out to be untrue.
There'll be no "pink skies" to look for on their wedding day!
