REVEALED: Council give go ahead to new housing estate in major Tipperary town

Greenrise Developments will turn the old farm buildings on Tivoli Road in Powerstown, Clonmel, into a vibrant new neighbourhood of thirty homes.
A wave of thirty new homes is about to transform a major County Tipperary town, following the green light for planning permission.
Greenrise Developments will turn the old farm buildings on Tivoli Road in Powerstown, Clonmel, into a vibrant new neighbourhood of thirty homes.
The project features seventeen three-bedroom and thirteen four-bedroom terraced houses, surrounded by green spaces, gardens, safe walkways, street lighting, and ample parking.
Each home will have a private rear garden and dedicated off-street parking. The development will provide a total of sixty car parking spaces. Six of the new homes will be allocated to the local authority for social housing. Approval is subject to twenty-three specific conditions.
Conditions include installing underground electric car charging pipes at all parking spaces, making a deal with Uisce Éireann for water supply, and paying the local council €74,865 to connect services.
To protect the project, the developer must provide a €255,000 cash deposit or insurance so the council can complete construction if there are financial problems.
