Carrick Davins GAA Club congratulates its football team and their mentors for becoming the first ever winners of the Tipperary Football Challenge Cup.

Final score: Carrick Davins 1-07, Newcastle 0-07.

A blistering start to the second half resulted in the Davins taking the lead which they never lost, It was a full-blooded contest between two excellent teams that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

Meanwhile, the club’s youngest members enjoyed a fantastic morning visiting Santa at World of Bounce and Mini-Farm near Carrick last Saturday morning.

The club thanks its Intermediate team Captain Mikey Whelan for presenting the Under 11 boys with medals last Thursday.

Well done to the boys on a great year and thanks to the coaches and mentors for their time and dedication.

Club members are invited to the AGM next Monday, December 11 at 7.30pm.

The lotto draw jackpot prize wasn’t won last week. Numbers drawn were: 09,10, 23, 26. Four players matched three numbers and won €50 each: Sinead Blackmore, Mary Donovan, Bríd Barrett, CA Blackmore.
