Mooreabbey Milers AC had a cracking morning in Cratloe Woods, Clare recently.

IMRA Munster put on a 9.8k race as part of the Summer/Autumn League with 280m of climbing.

Robert Cunningham finished in an impressive 4th place after being pipped on the line to just miss a podium place.

Mary-Louise Ryan secured 2nd place on the podium with Noelle O'Brien running well to take 3rd place.

Also running well over this enjoyable and varied course were Tom Blackburn, Des Lane, Tricia Ryan and Mary O'Connell. Kitty and Tessa O'Dwyer ran very well in the 4.4k junior race.

Elsewhere, Cork City was the capital of running today as thousands took part in the full marathon, half marathon and 10k.

Seán Landers ran the competitive 10k and recorded a PB of 36.56. Deirdre Bailey took on the half marathon and ran a fine time of 1.55.

Well done to both.
