Hundreds of participants limber up for 2 Johnnies South Tipperary Women's Mini-Marathon

Hundreds of participants are limbering up to take part in the popular 2 Johnnies South Tipperary Women’s Mini Marathon in Cahir this Saturday, September 20. 

The much anticipated 8km walk and run, hosted by Cahir Meet & Train Fitness group, starts from Cahir Castle Car Park at 5pm and finishes back in the car park.

Proceeds from the event will go to support Jigsaw, Cuan Saor Women's Refuse in Clonmel and Cahir Meet & Train.

This event caters for all levels of fitness, runners, joggers and walkers and more than 500 people are expected to take part. 

You can run, walk or crawl for this event, but everyone must sign in on the day. Sign-in takes place in Cahir Castle Car Park from 1 to 4pm on the day too. This is a Chip Timing event.

Prizes will be awarded for the first three overall winners and the community group with the most entries. There will be age category prizes, sponsored by Unitec, for the first 0ver 35, Over 40, Over 45, Over 50, Over 55 and Over 60 competitors.

Prizes will also be awarded also for the best Fancy Dress.
