2. David Sweeney (Kiladangan) Sweeney has had a torrid few years with injury recently, but he has found a consistency this year which has coincided with steady time on the pitch. He was very good in the semi-final win, coming out with an amount of ball, while his distribution was very good.

3. James Quigley (Kiladangan) Still the best full back in the club game in Tipperary, Quigley played very well for large spells and had a good battle for periods with Tommy Nolan. A real physical and assured presence.

4. Kevin Hassett (Drom & Inch) In a game with real instensity, and the Kiladangan attack in potent form, Hassett hurled very well for large spells. In the second half in particular, he brought loads of ball out of the back and kept going until the end.

5. Gavin Ryan (Upperchurch Drombane) A match which Upperchurch will have many regrets about, as they never got to their best, but centre back Gavin Ryan had yet another top performance. He kept the energy levels up throughout and hit 0-2 long range frees when the game was in the melting pot.
