End of an era! - Tipperary hardware store closes their doors for the final time

After 77 years of loyal service to the people of Templemore, Clonmore and Killea and many other surrounding communities O’Doherty’s Hardware on Patrick Street closed their doors to the public last weekend for the final time.

Having first opened the Hardware store in 1948 they extended their premises to the opposite side of the street to incorporate the showrooms which opened in 1957.

The family run business has remained a mainstay of the business community for almost 8 decades with the O’Doherty family looking after the needs of so many families and individuals.

We wish Jim and all his trusty staff the very best for their futures while we also wish Church Avenue native Donal Condren the very best of luck as he embarks on his new business venture.
