Tipperary man to take on Ring of Kerry cycle in aid of kidney charity

Francis Hogan of Templemore will cycle the Ring of Kerry this July
Tipperary's Francis Hogan will be taking part in this year's Ring of Kerry Cycle and fundraising for the Irish Kidney Association.
Francis, a Templemore native, who runs a stoves and bathrooms business in Clonmel, is gearing up for the second year in a row for the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle.
At last year’s Ring of Kerry with just 10% kidney function he completed the 170km route.
Just two days later he had his first dialysis session, and since then has been undergoing nightly dialysis treatment at home.
The father of five who is a member of Upperchurch Drumbane Cycling Club shared that he will be riding on July 5: “to prove that kidney disease doesn’t mean life has to stop” while raising awareness of organ failure and funds for the Irish Kidney Association.
