PHEW! Relief for Tipperary school as escaped pony found on the loose in local area

"One of our pupils' ponies has escaped," began a message from Leugh NS earlier on Tuesday

There was relief for pupils and staff alike at Leugh National School on Tuesday, July 15, as a pony who had escaped from the school was found safe and well.

An urgent appeal was made to Thurles locals earlier that day to say that one of the pupils' ponies had escaped and that it's believed the animal could be somewhere in the Kilrush/Killinan/Mullaunbrack/Ballycahill area.

Thankfully the school issued an update later to say the animal has been found!
