There is profound sadness and shock in Tipperary following the passing of brave five-year-old Katie O’Keeffe of Turtulla, Thurles, county Tipperary and Cork.
Katie "fell asleep peacefully at home on August 6, 2025 after her brave battle fought with such resilience and courage".
Her death notice on rip.ie reads: "Forever Five. She will be missed and loved always by her parents Siobhàn and Kevin, her little sister Ròisìn, her grandparents Gerard and Josephine Fahey, Kevin and Esther O'Keeffe and all her aunts, uncles, cousins and her wide circle of friends.
"House private at all times please.
"Mass of the Angels will take place on Sunday, August 10 in St Peter's Church, Moycarkey at 12 noon. Katie will be laid to rest afterwards in Aglish Cemetery with family and close friends.
