Council announce planned closure of busy Tipperary road until one week out from Christmas

Motorists travelling between Thurles and Littleton will be diverted via two national roads

The L-4157 Littleton to Thurles Road is to be closed for over a month while a new watermain is installed

The Tipperary County Council have announced that the L-4157 Littleton to Thurles road will be closed to the public for a large portion of the rest of the year to facilitate Uisce Éireann works.

The popular road will close from midnight on Thursday 13 November until to 11:59pm Friday 19 December.

Traffic will be diverted via the N62 and the N75 roads.

The 37-day closure in the run up to Christmas will facilitate the installation of a watermain for Uisce Eireann upgrade works.
