Gardaí attended the scene of a public order incident on Slievenamon Road, Thurles, county Tipperary on Monday, December 22, 2025 at approximately 2pm.

The statement by gardaí added: "On arrival, no persons were present. Enquiries are ongoing."
Based on the video being circulated online, several people were involved in the fight which happened in broad daylight holding up the busy Christmas week traffic on the Slievenamon Road.

Video footage circulating shows two cars facing in either direction stopped in the street while several people get involved in the altercation.
The incident happened right beside Thurles Garda Station.
