The council have granted permission for a local bakery to keep changes made to the premises

Retention permission has been granted for changes made to an existing bakery in Tipperary, including works carried out to the front, rear and sides of the premises.

The applicant, Buckley’s Bakery in Cappawhite, applied for permission to retain changes made previously to the premises.

As part of the council’s decision to grant retention permission, six conditions have been attached, including measures relating to noise, signage and development contributions.

A specific condition addresses noise from the facility. It requires a 5 dB penalty for tonal and/or impulsive elements to be applied to daytime and evening measured noise levels.

During the nighttime period, no tonal or impulsive noise from the facility is to be clearly audible or measurable at any noise sensitive location (NSL).

The condition is intended to prevent noise nuisance and ensure the development operates without causing unacceptable disturbance to surrounding properties.

The permission also restricts the erection of additional signs, symbols, nameplates or other advertisements externally on the buildings or elsewhere on the site.

Any such additional signage will require a separate grant of planning permission from the Planning Authority or An Coimisiún Pleanála.

A financial contribution of €4,853 is also required to be paid to Tipperary County Council within six months of the date of the planning order.
