6. Ronan Maher Rating: 7/10 Maher was a steady hand yet again in the heart of the Tipperary defence, and the sight of the Thurles Sarsfields colossus snapping high ball from the sky throughout would warm your heart! He is relishing the man-marking role and looks comfortable wherever he ends up. Used the ball very well, too, a facet of his game that has come on significantly.

7. Bryan O'Mara Rating: 8/10 Excellent. That is the word for O'Mara's performance. He was a pillar of strength going forward with the ball as usual, but his defensive work has come on massively, and he made some crucial interventions on several occasions late on, namely on Gavin Fives and Shane Bennett when they were closing in on goal.

8. Craig Morgan Rating: 7/10 Dropped deep in this game at times to give a degree of cover at the back, and while he didn't have much input in possession, he came away with numerous possessions in the second half and was assured as always throughout. A consistent performer all year.

10. Conor Stakelum Rating: 7/10 Given the order to curtail the influence of Mark Fitzgerald, Stakelum did just that, and he is a player who really complements the players around him. He did a lot of the dirty work on Sunday and would have gone unnoticed, but his workrate was notable with his tackle count through the roof. He has given away a few frees too many in the last two games, but that is something he can tidy up.
