9. Willie Connors Rating: 8/10 Connors replaced Alan Tynan, and considering he was pulled in the league final in the first half, his response has been exemplary, coming into the lineup on Sunday and having a huge game. His interception late on nearly lifted the roof of the old stand; his possession stats went through the roof.

11. Andrew Ormond Rating: 9/10 What a revelation Ormond has been in the last two games. All Tipp supporters hoped that he could bring his Ennis form to bear here again, and he somehow managed to eclipse that performance. He filleted Waterford throughout the game, dropping into the midfield gap regularly, either scoring or being fouled for frees. He was involved in at least a dozen scores for Tipp between scoring himself, setting up teammates, or winning frees for Darragh McCarthy to convert. Savage display.

20. Darragh McCarthy Rating: 8/10 A quiet first half from McCarthy, aside from his ridiculously accurate free taking, he burst into life in the second half and had his marker Ian Kenny on toast at times. He hit two wides from play in the first half, but his playmaking came to the fore as the game wore on, setting up scores, winning frees, and feeding Oisin O'Donoghue for the winning goal late on.

13. Jake Morris Rating: 8/10 The rise of Jake Morris this year has been a sight to behold as his leadership has finally begun to blossom; again, leading the way with his workrate up front. Still, he would feel he could have been involved in more play, but he still managed to pick off four points, and it is his all-around improvement that is most pleasing to see.
