LIVE: Three arrested in Tipperary as Armed Support Unit rush to scene as part of operation

Arrests part of ongoing investigation into a violent disorder incident that occurred on December 16, 2024 in Tipperary Town

In the course of the operation gardaí conducted a search of a residence in the Rosanna Road area.

Gardaí have conducted a search and arrest operation on Wednesday, January 29 in Tipperary Town as part of an ongoing investigation into a violent disorder incident that occurred on December 16, 2024.

In the course of the operation gardaí - supported by the Armed Support Unit, the Dog Unit, and members of the Defence Forces - conducted a search of a residence in the Rosanna Road area.

The search resulted in the seizure of drug paraphernalia, approximately €1,000 worth of cannabis herb and several weapons.

Two men, one in his late teens and the other in his forties, were arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in county Tipperary.

Both have since been charged in connection with the investigation and are scheduled to appear before Ennis District Court on Thursday morning.

Separately, a woman in her thirties, was also arrested on foot of a bench warrant and will be brought before the Criminal Courts of Justice.

Investigations are continuing.
