Snow fall on the Cashel Road in Tipperary Town

A Status Orange Snow-Ice warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wicklow, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary came into effect from 5pm on Saturday and will remain in place until 5pm on Sunday. 

Met Éireann says significant snowfall accumulations are expected.

Impacts:

• Very difficult travelling conditions
• Poor visibility
• Travel disruption delays to public transport likely (air, rail, bus)
• Difficult conditions underfoot
• Animal welfare issues
