Holycross Abbey is set to make history this weekend as it prepares to host its first-ever concert, One Abbey, One Night, on Saturday, 13th December at 8pm. The event will bring together an impressive line-up of music, drama, poetry and dance in the atmospheric setting of the Abbey—promising a night to remember for parishioners and visitors alike.
Audiences will be treated to performances by the renowned Brú Ború Performing Group, the majestic Ballycahill Choir, and a powerful drama piece titled “The Tomb of the Good Woman’s Son”. There will also be standout musical highlights from soloist Mark O’Gorman, contemporary fusion group Dwan & You, and spoken-word reflections from the gifted poet Pat Slattery.

Organisers say the evening truly offers “something for everyone”, blending traditional culture with modern performance in one of Ireland’s most iconic monastic sites.
Tickets are €25 for Centre Aisle (Stage View) and €15 for Side Aisles (Screen View) and are available from the Holycross Parish Office, Holycross Abbey Shop, or online.
