The team Land Rovers were able to drive a good distance along a forestry track toward the walker.
The South Eastern Mountain Rescue received an emergency call at 7:10pm on Friday evening from An Garda Síochána for a "walker who became disorientated in gathering fog on Slievenamon".
The team responded to a forest entrance on the North East side of Slievenamon.
The team Land Rovers were able to drive a good distance along a forestry track toward the walker.

Team members proceeded on foot from the track onto open mountain.
Search and Rescue Dog Association (Ireland) search dog Kody and his handler Sean were in the first search party and they reached the walkers location at approximately 8:47pm.
The walker was guided back to the waiting Land Rovers, assessed by one of the Team Doctors and then brought back to their vehicle.
Stand down issued at 9:35pm and everyone safely off the hill.
